Lady Blazers Finish Second at West Region Indoor Meet

With several people competing in their first meet, University Heights Academy finished second Saturday at the West Region Indoor Track and Field Meet at the CFSB Center at Murray State.

Four Lady Blazers – Audrey Grise, Ragen Pollard, Aliviah Acree, and Emma Perry – competed in their first varsity track meets and were keys to their high finish.

 

Audrey Grise – 2nd in the 400-meter dash (1:14.48)

Piper Hancock – 2nd in the 800-meter run (2:46.78); 5th in the 1600-meter run (6:31.28)

Sarah Covington – 2nd in the high jump (4-feet, 2-inches)

Meghan Adams – 2nd in the shot put (30-11.5)

Aliviah Acree – 3rd in the 400-meter dash (1:14.63)

Lily Hendricks – 4th in the 55-meter dash (8.40)

Emma Perry – 6th in the 800-meter run (3:10.63); 8th in the 1600-meter run (6:53.38)

Ragen Pollard – 10th in the shot put (18-02)

 

The 800-meter relay team of Lily Hendricks, Audrey Grise, Aliviah Acree, and Kate Cansler finished second in 2:04.83.

The 1600-meter relay team of Lily Hendricks, Sarah Covington, Kate Cansler, and Audrey Grise finished second in 5:01.98.

 

UHA totaled 67 points to finish second in the 11-team event.  Calloway County took first place with 88 points.
