Heritage Christian Academy has been playing better basketball of late, but they will look back on Tuesday’s game with Bowling Green Christian as one that got away.
The visitors from Bowling Green outscored HCA 40-31 in the second half to nip the homestanding Warriors 60-59.
HCA raced out to an 18-7 lead after one quarter and led 28-22 before BGCA mounted their second half comeback.
Weston Powell and Elijah Britton each had 15 points for HCA, while Carlos Robles added 11 points.
HCA will travel to Currey Ingram Academy in Brentwood, Tenn. Friday and travel to Somerset Christian Saturday for a KCAA contest.
