Hopkinsville High School introduced a new boys’ soccer coach at a press conference at the school on Wednesday, with South Carolina native Patrick Bueno tabbed to take over for Tyler Stallons.

Bueno and Stallons were teammates at Union College in Barbourville, KY, where Bueno was a four-year captain and three-year All-Conference player.  After college, he played in the Canadian Professional League for London City in London, Ontario, before playing in the Professional Arena Soccer League for the Louisville Lightning.

Bueno has enjoyed an extensive coaching career both at the club, high school and college level, including stops with the Kentucky Rush club team, Woodford Soccer Academy, Oldham Soccer Club and as a jv and assistant varsity coach at Franklin County High School.

He later became an assistant coach with the Cumberland University mens’ soccer team in Lebanon, TN, before taking a staff coach spot at Baton Rouge Soccer Club in Louisiana.  While in Baton Rouge, Bueno earned his NSCAA Premier Diploma while also coaching at Episcopal High School and The Dunham School.

In addition to his duties with the Tigers, Bueno also serves as coach for the U16, U18 and U19 boys teams at Valor United FC in Hopkinsville.
