Madisonville-North Hopkins completed a 7th District season sweep of Dawson Springs on Tuesday by taking two games at Maroon Gym.
In the boys’ game, Deljuan Johnson scored 21 points, Ksuan Casey had 19 and Kenny White 17 as the Maroons defeated the Panthers 86-52.
Madisonville (17-3 overall, 4-0 district) led 22-14 after one quarter and 39-22 at halftime.
The Maroons extended the margin to 63-37 after three quarters.
Dawson Springs (5-11, 1-3) got 14 points each from Skyler Clark and Braxton Cotton. Landon Pace added 12 points for the Panthers.
In the girls’ game, Courtney Peyton scored 28 points and Madisonville-North Hopkins pulled away for a 75-30 triumph.
The Lady Maroons (19-1, 4-0), who led 57-17 at halftime, also got 16 points from Camryn LaGrange and 11 from Lindsey Peyton.
Dawson Springs (5-12, 0-4) got nine points from Brooklyn Clark.
Madisonville returns to action on Friday when it hosts 7th District rival Hopkins County Central for a Homecoming night girls and boys doubleheader.
Dawson’s girls next host Frederick Fraize on Saturday.
Dawson’s boys will visit Trigg County on Friday for a varsity game at 7:30. Trigg’s girls play Caldwell County before that contest at 6:00.
