Fort Campbell has turned to one of its own to fill the head football coaching vacancy at the school, at least for the time being. Officials at Fort Campbell announced Friday afternoon that Jeff Rodgers has been selected to fill the position on an “interim” basis.

Rodgers is a 29-year employee of the Fort Campbell School System, and also serves as the archery coach at the school. Rodgers previously served as a Fort Campbell football assistant coach for 12 years, serving under coaches that include Marshall Patterson, Rocky Cobb, and Josh McKillip.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of Josh Robins, who stepped down after three seasons on the job.

Rodgers is the 5th football coach at Fort Campbell since the beginning of the 2012 season.
