
Lyon County led wire-to-wire Saturday night while dealing Ballard Memorial a 100-72 setback at Jason White Gymnasium in Eddyville.
The Lyons put up 31 points while building a 10-point lead after 8 minutes and scored 29 points in the second quarter to take a 60-37 lead to halftime.
Lyon (11-8) held an 87-56 advantage through three quarters.
The Lyons reached the 35-point, running-clock mercy rule in the fourth quarter while claiming the 28-point victory.
Travis Perry scored 21 of his game-high 32 points in the first half for the Lyons. Gunnar Bingham and Jackson Shoulders each had 17 points while Luke Gilbert added 10.
The visiting Bombers (3-16) got 29 points from Dequin Donlow. Brady Parrott had 13 points while Brady Cox and Jam Barber each had 12.
The Lyons also beat Ballard Memorial 85-54 on Dec. 23 in LaCenter.
It’s the second time Lyon has reached the century mark this season. The Lyons defeated Dawson Springs 104-80 on Jan. 14 in Eddyville.
The Lyons will visit Dawson Springs on Monday. Lyon will then host 5th District foe Trigg County on Tuesday.
