After losing 79-39 to visiting Somerset Christian School earlier this month in Hopkinsville, the Heritage Christian Academy boys’ basketball team didn’t find things any easier when they went on the road to face the Cougars, falling 85-37 on Saturday.

The top-ranked Cougars put the game away early, outscoring the Warriors 27-6 in the first quarter behind 13 points from defending KCAA Player of the Year Jon Moore.

HCA’s Triston Folz and Carlos Robles combined for 11 points in the second quarter, but Tristan Moore took his turn for the Cougars with 9 points and they led 54-20 at halftime.

Robles stayed hot with 8 out of the break and the Warriors outscored Somerset 14-8 in the third quarter, but Luke Atwood scored all 8 of his points over the final eight minutes and the Cougar defense held the Warriors to only 3 points in the fourth to cruise to the win.
