The Livingston Central and Fort Campbell girls’ basketball teams got together for an ornithological battle Monday night on post, with the Lady Cardinals flying higher than the Lady Falcons 40-5. Livingston Central claims its second win in three outings and second this season over Fort Campbell, while the Lady Falcons remain winless.
Livingston Central got all the points it would need in the first quarter, outscoring Fort Campbell 8-0 behind 4 points from Kerah Davidson. The Lady Falcons did all their scoring in the second quarter, but Davidson added 8 more and the Lady Cardinals led 22-5 at halftime.
The Lady Cardinals pitched the second-half shutout, while scoring 18 points for the final 35-point margin. Neither team hit a 3-pointer, combining to go 0-25. Livingston finished 20-51 from the field for 39%, while also winning the rebounding battle 39-24.
