
The Christian County girls’ basketball team exploded for 32 first-quarter points Thursday night and rolled over visiting Fort Campbell 60-3 for its second-straight victory.
Treliya Thomas scord 9 first-quarter points and the Lady Colonels pitched a shutout to lead 32-0 after one. Danielle Houston connected on a 3-pointer in the second quarter for the Lady Falcons, but Christian County added 4 points to the margin for a 39-3 halftime advantage.
Christian County rode the offense of JaChia Pendleton after the break with 6 points in both the third and fourth quarters. The Lady Colonels led 50-3 after three and scored 10 points in the fourth for the final score. Christian County shot 27-55 from the floor for 49%, while winning the rebounding battle 41-14.
Both teams will be back on the court on Friday, with the Lady Colonels entertaining Murray and the Lady Falcons welcoming West Creek, TN to post.
