Trigg County’s 1989-90 girls’ basketball team that set a school record for wins in a season was recognized Monday night at Wildcat Gym on the 30th anniversary of their accomplishments.
The Lady Wildcats were 21-8 that season, winning the 5th District title and setting a school record for wins in a season. Trigg defeated Fort Campbell in the first round of the region tournament which remains as the program’s lone region tourney win.
Team members recognized were Janay McGill, Kim Boyd, Lawanda Bacon, Stephanie Humphries, Christy Samsil, Simone Whipple, Beverly Bush, Wendy Snyder, Sarah Springer, Kara Boyd, and Leslie Wilson. Other team members were Kelly Prince, Cynthia Baker, and Kim Mitchell.
Coaches were Mike Wright, Rick Larson, Kevin Fox, and Gary Mitchell.
