He became a player that Fort Campbell could just about put anywhere on the football field and he would find a way to make it work. Wednesday, Jordan Edwards signed his National Letter of Intent to keep it “working” at the next level, as put his signature to paper to play college football at Mansfield University.

The Mounties play what is called “sprint football”, with their football program being members of the Collegiate Sprint Football League. The big rule in sprint football is that no player can weigh more than 172 pounds at 48 hours before kickoff.

During the 2019 season, Mansfield went 5-2 against competition that included: Caldwell University, Chesnut Hill College, Alderson Broadus University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Cornell University, Post University, and Army West Point.

During his senior season at Fort Campbell, Edwards caught 54 passes for 545 yards and 7 touchdowns. The 54 receptions was nearly half of the receptions by all Falcons during the 2019 season.

After signing his name on the “dotted line”, Edwards talked about his decision and continuing his career.
