Denarius Barnes improved each year on the gridiron for Hopkinsville, and Wednesday the hard work he put in paid off as he signed his letter to play football at Georgetown College.
Barnes led the Tigers in tackles in both his junior and senior seasons. Last year he recorded 65 tackles, including ten for loss. Barnes also recorded four sacks and recovered two fumbles
In 2018, Barnes had 81 tackles, nine for loss, and four sacks.
Barnes was named to the All-Western Kentucky Conference team both seasons.
Georgetown is an NAIA school that posted a 5-5 record in 2019.
