While the stat sheet may not have shown it, she was one of the integral parts and leaders for the Fort Campbell girls soccer team during the 2019 season, and now she is off to continue her career in college. During a signing day ceremony in the auditorium at Fort Campbell High School, Lady Falcon senior Caterina Martineau signed her National Letter of Intent Wednesday afternoon to play college soccer at Wabash Valley College.
Martineau had a solid season for the Lady Falcons during the 2019 season, scoring six goals and dishing out two assists in helping Fort Campbell to an 11-7 record, which included a trip to the All A Classic 2nd Region championship game.
Martineau’s junior season in 2018 was cut short after 9 games when she suffered a season ending foot injury.
Wabash Valley is located in Mount Carmel, Illinois and competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association.
