Hopkinsville senior Denarius “Red” Barnes joined three Tiger teammates in making his college choice official on Wednesday, signing to continue his football career at Georgetown College.
Barnes was a three-year starter for the Tigers, leading the team in tackles in both his junior and senior season. During his senior year, he racked up 34 tackles, 24 solo, and even connected on a PAT try, while helping the Tigers to an 8-4 record. Over his career he amassed 151 tackles, 92 solo, with a fumble forced and two fumble recoveries.
After making it official, Barnes talked about the part ROTC played in his choice, and what it meant to join his fellow seniors on their big day.
