
Crittenden County will be the top seed in the girls’ Fifth District Basketball Tournament hosted later this month by Lyon County.
Crittenden and Trigg County both finished the regular season with a 5-1 district mark, and both teams beat the other. The schools held a coin toss Wednesday night at the district meeting in Eddyville. By winning the coin toss, Crittenden County will play No. 4 seed Livingston Central on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6pm. Trigg County will play three-seed Lyon County at 7:30.
The boys’ seeds had no such drama. Lyon County is the No. 1 seed and will play four-seed Livingston Central Monday, Feb. 24 at 6pm. Trigg County is the No. 2 seed and will play three-seed Crittenden County at 7:30.
The boys’ championship will be played Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7pm with the girls’ title game Friday, Feb. 28 at 7pm.
