Playing without three of its regulars, including leading rebounder Lauren Anderson, the Fort Campbell girls’ basketball team couldn’t maintain a strong start on the way to a 51-22 loss to hosts Christian Fellowship on Friday night. The Lady Falcons’ losing run continues, while the surging Lady Eagles win their fourth in five outings.
Asia Cabili broke a 4-4 tie with a 3-pointer with 2:47 left in the first, but the Lady Eagles responded with a 6-0 run to take a 3-point lead. Fort Campbell got 6 more from Cabili and 4 from Danielle Houston and pulled to within 16 after a jumper by Jittakarn Teerapunyyachai with 2:22 left in the third, but that would be as close as they would get the rest of the way.
