Emma Talley will get a paycheck this week after making the cut at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in Victoria, Australia.

Talley earned a spot in Saturday’s third round by firing a blistering 7-under par 66 on the Creek Course at 13th Beach Golf Links.

She had eight birdies and just one bogey in the second round.

That came after an opening-round 1-over 73 on the Beach Course on Thursday.

At 6-under par overall, Talley is tied for 26th after 36 holes.

This week’s event features two cuts. The first cut was for the top 60 and ties. The cut line was at 5-under.

The field will be cut again following the third round, with the top 35 and ties advancing to Sunday.

Talley, a three-time state champion at Caldwell County and a national medalist at the University of Alabama, will tee off at 12:40 p.m. Saturday in Victoria. With the 17-hour time difference, that is 7:40 p.m. Friday night in the Central time zone.

For the fifth consecutive round, Sweden’s Madelene Sagstrom is atop the LPGA Tour leaderboard.

The 27-year-old leads the ISPS Handa Vic Open at 13 under, having followed Thursday’s 65 with a round of 5-under 67 on the Beach Course.

Two weeks ago, the 2015 graduate of Louisiana State University held the lead after the last three rounds of the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio, where she became a Rolex First-Time Winner.

American Ally McDonald is solo second at 12-under and looks to join Sagstrom as a first-time LPGA Tour winner.

The 2019 USA Solheim Cup team member is bogey-free for the tournament, carding eight birdies in her first 12 holes on Friday before parring her way home.

The unique event is being staged at 13th Beach Golf Links on Australia’s Bellarine Peninsula. Men and women play on the same courses, at the same time, for equal prize money of $1.1 million.

For the second consecutive year, the ISPS Handa Vic Open is jointly sanctioned by the LPGA Tour, the ALPG, the European Tour and the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia.
