Madisonville Swimmers Repeat as Combined Region Champions

Madisonville qualified three individuals and two relay teams for state in repeating as combined champions at the region swim meet Saturday at Hopkinsville High.

The Maroons easily won the boys’ region title with 421 points.  McCracken County was second with 266 points.  Madisonville’s girls finished in fourth place with 245 points.

Madisonville’s combined total of 666 points was 101 more than second place Hopkinsville.

The 200 medley relay team of Maci Crowell, Hannah Pettit, Sarah Wortham, and Abbie Fair finished second in 1:56.48.

The 200 free relay team of Maci Crowell, Hannah Pettit, Sarah Wortham, and Abbie Fair finished third in 1:47.74.

The 400 free relay team of Adison Melton, Ella Kirkland, Emma Tagg, and Addison Tate finished 5^th in 4:37.07.
