
Hancock County knocked down nine 3-pointers and extended Trigg County’s losing streak to three games with a 64-49 win over the Wildcats Saturday in Hawesville.
Hancock’s accuracy from deep kept the Wildcats at bay all game. Trigg trailed 32-26 at halftime and fell behind 51-35 after three quarters.
It was Trigg’s second loss this season to Hancock County (9-12). The Hornets beat the Wildcats 72-63 Dec. 20 in Cadiz.
Jordan Miles led Trigg County with 21 points. Kendric Adams added 14 points, and Jhaden Vaughn chipped in with 13 points.
Trigg County has dropped six of their last seven games and takes a 10-15 record into Tuesday’s game at Dawson Springs.
