A strong fourth quarter carried Caldwell County past Crittenden County on “throwback” night at Butler Gym in downtown Princeton. Jamarius Blaine scored six of his game-high 19 points in the final stanza and Jabrion Spikes scored all nine of his points in the fourth quarter as the Tigers used a 20-5 advantage to pull away for a 62-48 victory.
Tripp Branch added 16 points and Adarius Riley added 10 as Caldwell (11-14) won for the second straight night while also avenging a loss in Marion earlier this season.
Crittenden (12-14) led 43-42 through three quarters, but was held without a field goal in the final period.
Erik O’Leary led the Rockets with 15 points. Preston Morgeson had 12.
Caldwell led 32-31 at halftime in what was a tight battle until the latter stages of the contest.
The Tigers will continue a busy week on Thursday when they host Dawson Springs for a 7th District tilt at the CAB gym.
