Three Hoptown Indoor Track Records Fall at UK Meet

Hopkinsville set three new indoor records Saturday at the University of Kentucky High School Indoor Track Invitational.

Xavier Bussell, Chase Atkins, and Keane Mumford established new school records for their day on the indoor track at the Nutter Fieldhouse.

Keane Mumford – 9^th in the shot put (45-06.50 – school indoor record); 11^th in the weight throw (47-03.75)

Xavier Bussell – 13^th in the 60-meter dash (7.05 – school indoor record); 28^th in the 200-meter dash (22.85)

Chase Atkins – 22^nd in the mile run (4:33.97 – school indoor record)

JeVon Leavell – 40^th in the 200-meter dash (23.10).  Leavell ran a 7.2 in the 60-meter dash prelims and missed qualifying for the finals by .10 seconds.

Allison Wood – 51^st in the girls’ mile run (6:05.12)

Chance Jones – 53^rd in the mile run (4:56.03)
