The Christian County Colonels lost their second close game in as many outings Saturday night. The Colonels battled through to the end but came up just short in a 56-50 loss to Marshall County. The loss came on the heels of the Colonels 3 point overtime loss to University Heights on Tuesday night.
Bubba Leavell led the way for the Colonels finishing with 16 points in the game, including four made shots from behind the arc. Mikeon Mathis added 14 points to the effort. The other Colonel to reach double figures was Stephen Bussell, who scored 11.
For Marshall County, Zion Harmon paced the attack with 21 points. Tyler Powell and Tyler Stokes finished with 15 points each.
The loss drops Christian County to 9-18 on the season. Marshall County improved to 18-10.
