
Trigg County’s late game woes continued Tuesday as the Wildcats blew an eight-point fourth quarter lead in a 64-60 road loss to Ballard Memorial.
Trigg County used a 9-0 first quarter run to take an 18-15 lead after one quarter. The Wildcats extended their lead to 33-27 by halftime.
Trigg appeared to have the game in control with a 50-42 lead early in the fourth quarter before the Bombers began their comeback with a 17-10 run that gave them a 60-59 lead with 2:06 left. Trigg was held without a field goal for the final 2:47 of the game.
The final minutes of the game mirrored Trigg’s loss to Caldwell County Friday when the Tigers ended the game on a 12-0 run.
Ballard Memorial snapped an 11-game losing streak and improved to 4-24 on the season.
Trigg County (10-18) has lost six in a row and nine of their last 10 games. The Wildcats will host Fort Campbell Thursday for senior night.
