Lady Wildcats Establish New Standard for Wins in a Season

Trigg County set a new program record with their 22nd win of the season Thursday with a 49-7 win over Fort Campbell at Wildcat Gym.  Trigg held the Lady Falcons without a point in the second half and allowed just eight points in two games against them this season.

Fort Campbell jumped ahead 4-1 early before Trigg County found their footing.  The Lady Wildcats ended the first half on a 22-2 run to take a 27-7 lead into the locker room.

Trigg continued to push the lead out as Fort Campbell had 17 turnovers and five shot attempts in the second half.

The Lady Wildcats only shot 30-percent from the field but outrebounded Fort Campbell 40-16 and scored 31 points off 33 Lady Falcon turnovers.

Three Lady Wildcats scored in double figures.  Olivia Noffsinger scored 13 points, with Rylee Bush adding 12 points and seven rebounds.  Marleigh Reynolds scored 11 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Marisa Cole scored four points and had four rebounds for the Lady Falcons (0-21).  They will host Community Christian Friday.

Trigg County improved to 22-8 and eclipsed the old school record of 21 set in 1989-90.  Trigg will play Lyon County Monday in the Fifth District Tournament in Eddyville.
