
The 1994-95 Trigg County district champion boys’ basketball team was recognized Thursday night at Wildcat Gym.
The Wildcats finished 16-11 and defeated Crittenden County and Livingston Central to win the school’s first district title in a decade. Trigg beat Livingston Central 104-56 in the district championship game which still stands as a record for most points scored and margin of victory in the district title game.
The Wildcats’ season ended with a 71-66 double-overtime loss to Webster County in the first round of the region tournament.
Leading scorers on the team were Chris Sparks (18.5), Anthony Mayes (16.7), Kevin Thomas (15.4), Corey Alexander (15.3), and Charles Terrell (5.9).
Team members in attendance were Coach Mike Wright, Assistant Coach Buddy Sivills, Corey Alexander, Charles Terrell, Brad Ledford, Chris Scott, and Johnston Boyd.
Other team members were assistant coach Taylor Sparks, Jon Perry, Kevin Thomas, Keith Alexander, LeVar Alexander, Anthony Mayes, Scott Randolph, Chris Sparks, and Patrick Johnson.
