Just a freshman this season, Lyon guard Travis Perry has scored almost 1,500 career points.
Hopkins County Central gave Lyon County a battle for three quarters, but in the end the Lyons had their 20th win of the season.
Travis Perry dumped in 41 points as Lyon pulled away in the fourth quarter to claim an 87-70 win in Mortons Gap on Thursday.
The game was tied 13-13 after 8 minutes and the Lyons (20-9) held just a 36-34 edge at halftime.
Lyon’s margin was 62-56 through three quarters before the final difference was pushed to 17 points.
Perry hit five 3-pointers and was 7 of 9 at the free throw line as part of his big night. Gunnar Bingham added 14 points and Jackson Shoulders had 13 for the Lyons.
Sam Almon had 15 points on Senior Night for the Storm, who finished the season 8-7 after opening the year 0-13. Marcus Eaves and John Miller each had 13 points for Hopkins Central.
Lyon County will host the 5th District tournament next week at Jason White Gymnasium in Eddyville. The Lyons will take on Livingston Central Tuesday night.
Hopkins Central will face Caldwell County Tuesday in the 7th District tourney in Madisonville.
