The Fort Campbell boys’ basketball team picked up its second win in three tries on Friday night, knocking off visiting Community Christian 68-46 to close its regular season slate. The win gives the Falcons some momentum heading into Tuesday’s 8th-District tourney opener against top-seeded UHA.
Cameron Pratt scored 6 first-quarter points and the Falcons led by a basket after one. Pratt added 7 more in the second, while Jeremiah Holley chipped in 6, and the Falcons took a 29-16 advantage at halftime.
Holley and Pratt combined for 10 points in the third, helping the Falcons outscore the Warriors 16-10 for a 19-point cushion with a quarter to play.
Community Christian put up 20 points over the final eight minutes behind 7 points from Tyson Winsett and 6 for Ty Wilson, but Brock Elsberry celebrated his senior night with three 3-pointers to extinguish any hopes of a Warrior comeback.
