Trigg County had five teams reach the podium Saturday at the season-opening Kentucky Lake Ice Breaker Fishing Tournament hosted by Marshall County.
The teams of Anthony Ethridge and Andrew Greene and Dylan Chambless and Trey Carr both caught one fish weighing 4-pounds, 6-ounces. They both tied for 21st place.
Dallas Ahart and Cade Bleidt finished in 31st place with one fish weighing 2-pounds, 12-ounces.
Emily Huntsman and Jordan Hampton finished in 38th place with one bass weighing two pounds.
Ty Meacham and Brock Sandbrink and finished in 41st place with one bass weighing 1-pounds, 14-ounces.
As a team, Trigg County finished in seventh place out of 11 teams that caught a fish Saturday. They totaled 9-pounds, 2-ounces.
Nearly 90 boats took to the water on Kentucky Lake for the opening tournament of the year. Muhlenberg County’s C.J. Stanley and Kamden Knight had the big bass at 5-pounds, 4-ounces, while the team of Timmy Dorris and Coleman Bingham of Muhlenberg County took first place with five fish totaling 18-pounds, 7-ounces.
