Caldwell County High School senior DeEric Hollowell has announced that he will play college football at Kentucky Christian University.

The running back delivered the news on social media on Saturday.

“First I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play the sport I love and blessing me the whole way through the process, also my family, coaches, teachers and brothers that were a big part of my success … with that being said I’m blessed to announce that I have committed to Kentucky Christian University. #GoKnights”

Hollowell and the Caldwell County Tigers finished this past season 8-3.

Hollowell was a workhorse on the offensive side of the football and finished high on several Caldwell record lists.

Hollowell ended his high school football career with 2,424 yards rushing, which is seventh-most all-time at Caldwell County.

His 1,304 yards this past season rank ninth on the single-season list.

Hollowell’s 292-yard effort in Caldwell’s win at Trigg County is third on the Tigers’ single-game rushing chart.

Hollowell’s 162 points scored this past season are the third-most ever by a Tiger.
His 234 career points put him seventh on Caldwell’s career list.

Kentucky Christian is an NAIA institution in Grayson, Ky., that competes in the Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division.
