Nick Whalin scored nine points and pulled down eight rebounds in helping Lyon County beat Caldwell County 65-59 in the region quarterfinals — the Lyons’ third win over the Tiger this year. Whalin contributed to Lyon’s advantage on the glass which helped decide the game.
