Madisonville-North Hopkins sophomore Kaitlyn Zieba entered Friday night’s 2nd Region semifinal matchup with Webster County shooting 5/34 from 3-point range, ninth on the team at 14.7%. However, with the game on the line against the Lady Trojans, she answered the bell with two corner 3’s in the space of 45 seconds to give the Lady Maroons a 7-point edge late in the fourth quarter.
Afterward, Zieba talked about her big shots and looked ahead to Friday’s championship game.
