A historic season came to an end Friday night for the Trigg County girls’ basketball team, with the Lady Wildcats falling 68-29 to Henderson County in a 2nd Region semifinal. Trigg’s victory over Caldwell in the opening round Tuesday was only the program’s second ever, and the first in 30 years. The Lady Wildcats also set the record for wins this season, finishing 25-9.
Sophomore Marleigh Reynolds played a big part in the Lady Wildcats’ stellar season, averaging 8.8 points per contest, while leading the team with 3.7 rebounds a game.
After the loss to the Lady Colonels, she looked back on the season and talked about the impact the Lady Wildcats’ three seniors have had on her.
