Todd County Central senior Caitlin Cumbee will be a part of the fledgling dance program at Campbellsville University that won a conference championship in their first year of existence.
Cumbee signed her letter Wednesday to dance at Campbellsville after her time on the dance team at Todd Central. She has been dancing competitively for six years, mostly at the regional and national level.
Last year, Cumbee was recognized as an all-star at the National Dance Alliance camp in Gatlinburg and was picked to perform in the New Year’s Day parade in Rome, Italy.
Cumbee is one of three signees for the CU Dance program that is led by Coach Amanda Gabehart. Last month, Campbellsville won the Mid-South Conference Cheerleading and Dance Championships in their first season of competition.
The focus of the CU Dance Team is creating ball game performances and multiple sideline routines.
