Ware Makes Big Strides in 2nd Year at Jacksonville State

A former Christian County Colonel made big strides during his second season of action on the collegiate level. Former Colonel Detorrion Ware just concluded his sophomore season at Jacksonville State University.

During his sophomore season for Coach Ray Harper, Ware averaged 12 points per game. His high point game came on February 13, when he scored 26 points in a game against Tennessee Tech.

Ware also averaged 5.3 rebounds per contest in 2019-2020. His best effort came February 15, when he pulled down 14 rebounds. Ware added 36 assists on the season, with his high game of four coming in December against Evansville.

Ware shot 43-percent on the seasons, including just over 35-percent from behind the 3-point line. He also knocked down 77.3-percent of his free throws.

After two seasons with the Gamecocks, Ware has scored 492 points.
