The 2019-2020 sports year in the Southeastern Conference is now officially over. The SEC tweeted out Tuesday afternoon that all regular season conference and non-conference competitions have been cancelled for the remainder of the athletic year. The move follows similar actions taken by numerous other conferences across the country.
The SEC notes that all spring football games and remaining SEC championship events are affected by the decision, which was made due to the continuing developments surrounding COVID-19.
