Madisonville’s Parker Commits to Campbellsville

Madisonville receiver Marquise Parker should have wrapped up is high school basketball career at the Sweet 16 over the weekend.  While there is still hope the state tournament will still be played, Parker knows where his college home for football will be.

Parker committed to play football at Campbellsville University Sunday night, making the announcement on social media.

Parker led the Maroons in catches with 46.  He had 757 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Maroon offense.  He also led the team on defense with four interceptions for 140 yards.

He helped Madisonville finish 11-3 and win a region title in 2019.

As a junior, Parker caught eight passes for 273 yards, averaging 25 yards per catch.  Thee of his eight catches went for touchdowns.

He also had a pick-six on defense in 2018.

Parker is also an All-District performer on the Madisonville basketball team that won back-to-back region titles for the first time in 31 seasons.

Campbellsville is an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference.  They endured an uncharacteristic 1-9 season in 2019.
