Nelli Walker hit .274 for Lyon County last year in helping the Lady Lyons win 26 games, a district title and advance to the region championship game. Like many in her school and community, she was expecting a huge season on the softball diamond until the coronavirus shutdown took place.
Walker is optimistic that she will join fellow Lady Lyon senior Allye Culp in playing this spring and having a senior night. If not, she will head to Murray State in fall and work to be a pre-med major.
