Farasia Hodge Wraps Up Career at Western Carolina

A former All-State Honorable Mention player at Hopkinsville High School wrapped up her collegiate career earlier this month. Farasia Hodge completed her final year at Western Carolina back on March 5 when the Catamounts lost to Samford.

During her senior season, Hodge played in all 27 games for Western Carolina, starting in two. She finished the year averaging 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest. Her high game for the season came on January 6, when she scored 17 points against Southern Wesleyan. On February 6, she pulled down 8 rebounds in a game against East Tennessee.

In her junior season of 2018-2019, Hodge played in 30 games, starting in 11. She scored in double figures twice, scoring a season high 12 points against Young Harris. Hodge ended the season averaging 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.

Prior to her time at Western Carolina, Hodge played at John A. Logan, where in the 2017-18 season, she appeared in 31 games, averaging 12.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. She was named to the Great River All-Conference team and NJCAA All-Region team.

During her senior season at Hopkinsville High School, Hodge averaged 12 points and 13.4 rebounds per game, with the 13.4 rebounds ranking her in the top five in the state of Kentucky.
