Another boys’ team has been announced for the 2020 West Kentucky Hoops Classic, which could be putting together its strongest field yet.
The Independence Patriots from Charlotte, N.C., will be headed to Princeton Dec. 28-29 for a pair of games at Caldwell County’s CAB gym.
The Patriots went 22-8 this past season and finished as the Class 4A state runner-up in North Carolina.
Independence fell to North Mecklenburg 77-54 in the championship game.
Independence joins the Huffman Vikings from Birmingham and the Ridge View Blazers from Columbia, S.C., in this year’s field, along with the host Caldwell County Tigers.
That’s four of the 10 boys’ teams that will be playing in the 2020 West Kentucky Hoops Classic.
Look for more boys’ teams to be announced later this week.
As announced on Sunday, the four girls’ teams that will play in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic this year are Caldwell County, Lyon County, Madisonville-North Hopkins and Mayfield.
