Madisonville-North Hopkins Boys’ Basketball All-Decade Team (2010-20)

Three members of the 2019-20 Madisonville-North Hopkins basketball squad are on the Maroons All-Decade Team as chosen by YourSportsEdge.Com. Madisonville has won the last two 2nd Region championships.

These are the top 10 players from the last 10 years (2010-11 season through this past season).

Here is the first team:

Ksuan Casey — Casey is second on the Madisonville-North Hopkins all-time scoring list with 1,897 points. That’s 19 more than 2009 Mr. Basketball Jon Hood. Only Travis Ford has more points with 2,676. Casey averaged a double-double for this year’s 2nd Region championship squad, scoring 18.5 points and grabbing 10.5 rebounds a contest. Casey is a three-time coaches’ All-2nd Region selection — 2018, 2019 and 2020. Casey has also grabbed 1,213 career rebounds with the Maroons.

Kenny White — White, who will play college basketball for John Pelphrey at Tennessee Tech, is a three-time All-2nd Region Team selection and was the 2nd Region Player of the Year in 2020. He has totaled 1,618 points as a Maroon, putting him seventh on the school’s all-time scoring list. White averaged 18.4 points and 8.0 rebounds a game this season for Madisovnille, which went 31-3 and won the 2nd Region championship.

Jaiveon Eaves — Eaves is sixth on the Madisonville-North Hopkins career scoring list with 1,688 points — averaing 14.6 points a game over four seasons. As a senior in 2015-16, Eaves led the Maroons with 19.4 points a night. Eaves went on to play four years of college basketball — the first two at John A. Logan before finishing at Murray State.

Cade Cunningham — Cunningham scored 11.4 points a game while helping the Maroons go 30-6 in the 2018-19 season and reach the second round at the state tournament. Cunningham scored over 1,000 points as a Maroon, currently ranking 17th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,022 points. Cunningham was named to the coaches’ All-2nd Region team in 2018 and 2019. Following his playing career in Madisonville, Cade joined older brother Noah on the Brescia Bearcats basketball team.

Daylyn Jones — Jones is 32nd on the Madisonville-North Hopkins all-time scoring list with 840 points — averaging an even 10 points a game for his career. Jones holds the Maroons’ single-game scoring record with a 47-point performance in a win over Fort Campbell in February of 2013. He was named to the All-2nd Region Team in 2013.

Here is the second team:

Joe Singleton — Singleton scored 11.6 points a game and led the team with 9.7 boards a contest to help the Maroons go 22-8 in the 2015-16 season. As a junior the year before, Singleton scored 7.5 points a night and grabbed a team-best 5.0 rebounds.

Noah Cunningham — Noah Cunningham is 55th on the Madisonville-North Hopkins career scoring list with 612 points. He led the Maroons in scoring as a senior in 2016-17 with 15.2 points a contest. He was named to the coaches association’s All-2nd Region Team that season. Cunningham is a junior at Brescia University.

Dylan Basham — Basham is 54th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 623 points. Basham was an All-2nd Region Team selection as a senior in 2011 after averaging 10.4 points a game as the Maroons went 17-8. Basham averaged 10.8 points a night as a junior. The 6-7 Basham went on to play college basketball at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn.

J.D. Gilbert — Gilbert is 36th on the Madisonville-North Hopkins career scoring list with 781 points. Gilbert scored 10.1 points a game as a senior in helping guide the Maroons to a 30-6 record and into the second round of the state tournament in Lexington. Gilbert is now playing football at Culver-Stockton College in Missouri.

Deljuan Johnson — Johnson was named to the coaches’ All-2nd Region Team as a senior this season after scoring 11.2 points a game and shooting over 38 percent from 3-point range as Madisonville claimed the 2nd Region championship for the second straight year.
