Another Kentucky Wildcat has decided to leave the program for the chance to play in the NBA. Numerous reports state that Immanuel Quickley made the announcement Monday morning that he is entering the draft and will give up his final two years of eligibility at Kentucky.
In making the announcement, Quickley thanked Coach John Calipari, the entire UK coaching staff and administration, his teammates, and the Big Blue Nation for all their “love and support the past two years.”
Quickley won SEC Player of the Year honors for the 2019-2020 season. He did so while averaging 16.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, & 1.9 assists per contest.
Quickley, Ashton Hagans, and Tyrese Maxey have all announced they were leaving UK for the NBA. Quickly and Hagans were sophomores, while Maxey was a freshman.
