Calvin Demps is among the students from Hopkinsville High School that have been selected to take part in the Governor’s Scholars Program this summer. The junior is a member of the Hopkinsville High golf team.
The Governor’s Scholars Program was established in 1983 and provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience at one of several college campuses in the state.
Students looking to be a part of the program must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the five-week program free of charge.
