Former Caldwell County golfer Emma Talley says trying to gain distance on her shots led to problems with her swing during her second season on the LPGA Tour. Talley made the comments during a Twitter questions and answer session Monday.
In response to a question about the progress she has made on the tour, Talley noted that in trying to gain more distance in her second season “l tried gaining distance and lost my swing.” She added that as a result she learned “many good lessons.” Talley said that she was excited going forward and has her game back.
Among the many other questions Talley responded to was a question about the biggest challenges of being on tour. Talley stated time management and getting enough rest while out on the road.
As for her best memory to date, Talley said winning the U.S. Women’s Amateur with her dad being on bag for her the whole week was at the top of her list.
