A Todd County Central cheerleader is among junior students from across the state that have been selected to take part in the Governor’s Scholars Program this summer.
Julia Martin will be one of over 1,000 students to attend the five-week program at one of three Kentucky colleges.
The Governor’s Scholars Program was established in 1983 and provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience at one of several college campuses in the state.
Students looking to be a part of the program must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the five-week program free of charge.
