A pair of Trigg County athletes are among those that have been selected to take part in the Governor’s Scholars Program this summer.
Caeden Burcham and Conner Wallace were notified over the weekend that they will be among the 1,000 students to attend the five-week program at one of three Kentucky colleges.
Both Burcham and Wallace play football for thCaeden e Wildcats, while Wallace is also a member of the baseball team.
The Governor’s Scholars Program was established in 1983 and provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience at one of several college campuses in the state. Students looking to be a part of the program must complete an application and compete with others from across the state.
