Four basketball players from western Kentucky have been named to the annual Bluegrasspreps.com Boys’ Basketball Team announced this week.
Madisonville teammates Ksuan Casey and Kenny White highlight the ninth annual basketball team from the high school sports website.
Casey, who has signed with Tennessee-Martin, scored 18.5 points and grabbed 10.8 rebounds a game in helping the Maroons win consecutive region titles. Casey finished as Madisonville’s second leading scorer in school history.
White, who has signed with Tennessee Tech, scored 18.4 points a game to go with eight rebounds.
Marshall County’s Zion Harmon and Murray State’s Jackson Sivills were also named to the 10-player team.
Harmon, a junior, committed to Western Kentucky after averaging 25.4 points a game for the Marshals in 2019-20.
Sivills scored 21.4 points a game for McCracken County and will be headed to Murray State in the fall.
Rounding out the team were South Laurel’s Matthew Cromer (Eastern Kentucky), John Hardin’s Alex Matthews (undecided), Male’s Tyren Moore (Moberly Community College), Bardstown’s J.J. Traynor (Louisville), Henry Clay’s Marques Warrick (Northern Kentucky), and Dayvion McKnight of Collins (Western Kentucky) who was also named the player of the year.
