While several of his University of Kentucky Wildcat teammates were the targets of NFL teams in the 2020 Draft, Landon Young spent the weekend looking for targets of his own.
Young was the guest of legendary game hunters Harold Knight and David Hale at their Trigg County hunting compound Friday. Young is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing when he isn’t playing football.
Young, was an Athlon Third Team All-SEC selection last year but opted to bypass the draft and return for his senior season. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Young cited the deep draft of linemen this year as one of the reasons for returning to Lexington.
He graduated in December with a degree in animal sciences and returning to Lexington allows him to work on a second degree in agricultural economics.
