Purdue cornerback Kenneth Major III has entered the NCAA transfer portal and plans to continue his college football career at another school.
The sophomore started 16 games for the Boilermakers in 2018-19 and played in 24 games. He redshirted in 2017 after being part of Jeff Brohm’s first recruiting class. He originally committed to Western Kentucky before following Brohm to West Lafayette. Major had a combined 79 tackles the past two seasons and recorded a team-high three interceptions as a redshirt freshman in 2018.
Major was one of three former Christian County Colonels to play at Purdue under Brohm. KeyRon Catlett transferred to Hampton University after the 2018 season. Cory Trice is expected to start at cornerback as a sophomore for Purdue in 2021.
