Like every senior in the Class of 2020, normalcy has been set aside for new normals that include more technology due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For Tyquez Douglas, he used that technology to make his college choice official Monday.  The Christian County senior signed to play football at Thomas More University via zoom conference from his home.

Douglas said he and the coaches remained in contact in the weeks leading up to his decision. NCAA restrictions kept prospective students off campus for visits due to the coronavirus.

Douglas led the Colonels in receptions in 2019 with 33 for 26 yards.  On defense, he also tallied an interception.  He also played on the Colonel tennis team.

He will join former Colonel teammate Cameron Coleman, who signed with Thomas More earlier this year.

Thomas More is an NAIA school located in Crestview Hills that finished 4-7 on the field in 2019.

Douglas was joined at Monday’s signing by his mother Tishauna Douglas and Colonel Football Coach Steve Lovelace.
