Former Caldwell County standout Emma Staples was among the college freshmen who saw their season come to an early end this spring because of the coronavirus.
Staples had her moments on the softball squad at Frontier College in Fairfield, Ill., including a home run in the Bobcats’ win May 5 against Shawnee Community College.
Your Sports Edge caught up with Staples this week at the Ratliff Park Complex in Princeton. The former Lady Tiger talks about her first year in college and her future plans.
